Preparing for Your Facial Aesthetics Session

• Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning for at least 48 hours before your session
• Discontinue retinoids or exfoliating acids 3 to 5 days prior
• Stay hydrated: drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment
• Arrive with a clean, makeup-free face
• Do not take blood thinners or anti-inflammatory medications unless directed by your provider
• Wear comfortable clothing and tie back long hair if applicable
• Schedule treatments at least 2 weeks before major events to allow for visible improvements and any mild redness to subside

What to Expect During Your Session

When you arrive at Novaré Wellness and Aesthetics, you'll be welcomed into a comfortable, calming treatment room. After cleansing the skin and reviewing your plan, your provider will apply the selected device, whether it's Emface, Exion Face, Exion Clear RF or RF Microneedling, to the targeted areas. You may feel warmth, gentle suction or light electrical pulses depending on the device. Most patients describe the experience as relaxing with minimal discomfort. No anesthesia or numbing is required.

Sessions typically last 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the areas treated. You can expect mild redness or warmth in the skin afterward, which usually subsides within a few hours. There is no required downtime, so you can resume normal activities right away.

Risks and Side Effects

Facial Aesthetics treatments at Novaré Wellness and Aesthetics are low-risk and non-invasive, though mild side effects may occur depending on skin sensitivity and the technology used. Common effects include temporary redness, warmth, or swelling at the treatment site; mild skin flaking or dryness following RF Microneedling; temporary muscle twitching or facial fatigue after Emface; and slight tingling or sensitivity post-treatment.
